A very attractive Bourne Denby stoneware moneybox dating to around 1900. It is an interesting tiered double sphere shape with two money slots and an acorn finial to the top. It is decorated with 'Majolica' glaze with a mottled finish in royal blue and tan. These moneyboxes are scarce because they do not have an opening through which to extract the money, so they were often broken. This is a scarce shape.

It has a couple of small firing faults in the glaze to the foot-rim and smaller money slot, but otherwise it is in good condition.
