A very fine wrought iron game hanger known as a Dutch Crown. This is in the style of game hangers dating from the 18th century but this one was probably made in the early 20th century. It is a fine made example decorated with scroll work, birds and twists to the arched bars. It has 8 hooks from which game would have been hung to mature, but it would now be ideal for hanging herbs or flowers to dry, or for pans and kitchen utensils. It is topped with a suspension loop.
This is a very decorative piece of rural folk art.
