Dimensions:
A fine carved and stained ivory, English chess set in the St. George pattern, dating to around the 1850s. The set is complete with 32 pieces. The pieces have been beautifully carved - the Knights being particularly fine. The Kings stand 8cm tall. The set comes in a mahogany slide-lid box contemporary with the set.
The pieces are in good used condition with minor wear commensurate with their age.
