Two very attractive Chinese scent or snuff bottles in the form of young, naked ladies. They date to the Republic Period, probably around the mid 1940s. They are made from porcelain and have been handpainted. Each has a stopper in her head that is disguised as a knot of hair. One is semi-naked with a richly coloured skirt covering her lower half. Neither bears any maker's marks. The taller one stands 10.5cm tall, the other almost 8cm.
They are both in good condition.
