An unusual boxed set of 6 unused sandwich markers, dating to the 1930s. The markers are made from card labels with a slightly waxed finish, mounted at the top of wooden cocktail sticks. Each label is decorated with a printed and hand-coloured image of a 1930s hostess holding whatever sandwich filling is detailed on the label - Banana, Cheese & Cucumber, Potted Beef, Fish, Tomato and Egg & Cress. The labels come in a little wallet made of the same waxed card. The set is complete with its original box.
The markers are unused and in great condition. There is some wear and minor loss to the box.
The measurements given are for one marker. The wallet measures 19cm by 11cm.
