A gorgeous novelty brooch dating to around the 1930s. It is in the form of a monkey sitting on a perch with another monkey hanging below on an articulated link. It is made of 925 silver encrusted with marcasites. The monkeys have charming smiling faces with garnet eyes. There is a pin with safety catch to the back. It is impressed 925 and is probably Continental. It is in excellent condition.
