A celluloid covered tin advertising showcard for Wills's Star Cigarettes, dating to the 1930s-40s. This large sign was intended as 'point of sale' advertising, so would have stood on or hung behind the counter in a shop. It features a very attractive young woman, with a hairstyle typical of the day, holding a cigarette. There is a maker's mark in the bottom right hand corner. The sign originally had a card prop at the back which is now missing, but it still retains its hanging loop.
The sign is in good condition with minor signs of wear commensurate with its age.
