A charming terrier doorstop, made in England by Nestor in the 1930s. It is made of cast iron with an attractive metal lustre glaze finish. It is nicely detailed with a very appealing face and texturing to the dog's coat. The dog looks like a fox terrier. The back bears the impressed Nestor name and the registration number 836927 dating it to between 1930 and 1939. This dog was also produced by Nestor as a fireside companion set.
It is in great condition with minor signs of wear commensurate with its age.
