Dimensions:
A charming miniature frame, made in Italy in approximately the 1880s. It is decorated with intricate micro mosaic made up of thousands of tiny coloured glass tesserae, forming a beautiful floral design. The tesserae have been skilfully fitted into a brass frame that holds them tightly in place. At the back are little hinged tabs to keep the contents of the frame in place, and an easel style prop. A couple of tiny tesserae are missing.
