A Maelzel metronome made in Paris in the early 20th century. It is a traditional Maelzel shape and is made out of mahogany with pressed gilded nickel plate to the front door. The paper scale is marked 'W & Co L'. There is a printed serial number to the base - 946,123. The mechanism is in good condition and it works well, but the front catch is slightly loose.
