A beautiful African carved wooden milk bowl or tazawat, dating to the early yo mid 20th century. Made by the Tuareg people, a nomidic Berber group who inhabit the Sahara region. They have few possesions and those they do have, even the most mundane tend to be beautifully decorated and greatlt valued. This humble milk bowl is made of African hardwood with incised geomatric patterning to the outside. The inside is sealed with black resin.
