A genuine carved cinnabar lacquer box, made in China in the early to mid 20th century. The dark red lacquer is carved with a dragon flying through a landscape of trees, mountains and clouds. The box has a brass core and the inside is covered with rich blue ennamel. It is in excellent condition.
