A traditional French bread platter, carved in the early to mid 20th century by an artisan out of a single piece of wood. It bears two relief carved heads of wheat and the words "Donnez Nous Notre Pain Quotidien" or "Give Us Our Daily Bread".

It bears the signature of the craftsman that made it - G Sette. 

It has a beautiful aged patina.
