Dimensions:

A bullseye condenser lens on an adjustable lacquered brass stand dating to the 1880s. These are usually known as bench condensers or desk lenses. They were used to illuminate specimens for examination by focusing natural or lamp light, usually in conjunction with a microscope. This example is made of lacquered brass. The height and angle of the lens can be adjusted. The base is weighted with lead. 

The maximum height is 28cm.

In good original condition with a little wear to the lacquer.
