Ginger Tom's Curious Eclectic
Web site: https://www.gingertoms.co.uk/
A charming inkstand with inkwell and pen rest, featuring a cat playing with a ball. It dates to approximately the 1930s and was probably made in France. The base and the cover for the inkwell are made of faux tortoiseshell lucite, while the cat and ball are probably made of carved Galalith, a substance similar to Bakelite. It bears no maker's marks.
It is in good original condition commensurate with its age.
