A very fine bronze desk ornament or paperweight, dating to approximately the Regency period. It is in the form of a pug standing on an oval base with stylised acanthus leaf decoration round the edge. The pug is wearing a collar round his neck and is rather handsome. He is very well modelled and cast, and the broze has a pleasing aged patina.
