Ginger Tom's Curious Eclectic
Web site: https://www.gingertoms.co.uk/
A very attractive Black Forest travel desk thermometer dating to the early 20th century. This charming piece of treen was made in Switzerland as a souvenir of Monte Generoso. It is made to fold up neatly for packing away in luggage and unfolds to sit on a desk. It is beautifully carved with edelweiss and gentian flowers. The thermometer scale is made of milk glass painted with the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales. The mercury bulb and tube are intact and it still works perfectly.
In good original condition.
The measurements given are for the thermometer when closed.
