A small and beautifully carved Canadian Inuit figure of a polar bear. It is worked in soapstone or white alabaster, has glass eyes and is mounted on a polished stone base. It dates to between the 1950s and 1970s and is a lovely example of Inuit folk art. There is minor wear commensurate with its age.
